The Kenyan Oscars: Kalasha Film and Tv Awards 2017 full list of Nominees

Kenya Film Commission registered the highest number of entries ever received since the inception of Kalasha, with the submission of 237 films, an affirmation of the credibility of the Kalasha over the last 7 years! This year, the Kalasha International has been split in three with the Kalasha International Film Festival set from 4th – 8th December 2017, the Awards gala 0n 9th December and the Market set for March 2018.

Nominees unveiled on 8th November at the IMAX Cinema theatre.

Voting for the Kalasha International Film & TV Awards nominees is on-going. The public and all film enthusiasts can now vote for their favorite Film and TV stars through the following channels;

Kenya Film Commission has also incorporated a Short Message Service (SMS) courtesy of MTECH, its technology partner. The public is required to send the key word of each nominee to 22414 to vote for their preferred celebrity. The public is also encouraged to visit their nearest theatres for back to back screenings of the films between 13th November to 4th December 2017 free of charge in 21 counties, which are Nairobi, Transzoia, Uasin Gishu, Narok, Nandi, Bomet, Nakuru, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Kericho, Kisii, Siaya, Bungoma, Migori, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Embu, Machakos, Nyandarua and Kericho.
